Malaquin's Norino Gorostizaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Malaquin from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Florián Hesse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pabellon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Florián Hesse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norino Gorostizaga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Pabellon FC's Teodor Berguño got a free kick in the 16th minute. If Jeronimo Warnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Malaquin's zone, Delmiro Devoto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norino Gorostizaga came out of the goal and Delmiro Devoto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florián Hesses short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Norino Gorostizaga to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Norino Gorostizaga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geofredo Mackenzie's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Norino Gorostizaga made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Florián Hesse sent off a good shot on target. Omar Collados struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Albino Ferreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malaquin. The Malaquin fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Malaquin's Jeronimo Warnes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Malaquin's Agustín Bernales got a free kick in the 44th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geofredo Mackenzie to make the kick off. Norino Gorostizaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geofredo Mackenzie, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Omar Collados might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albino Ferreira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Omar Collados ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Pabellon FC's Albino Ferreira got control of the ball when Omar Collados tried to sneak it across the goal line. Florián Hesse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Norino Gorostizaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pabellon FC's Geofredo Mackenzie got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Malaquin's Omar Collados sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albino Ferreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A hard shot 69 in the game by Omar Collados from a close distance when the talented Albino Ferreira managed to make a qualified save. Pabellon FC's players were relieved. When Geofredo Mackenzie, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 75 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Norino Gorostizaga was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Jeronimo Warnes struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Albino Ferreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malaquin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Collados in the 81st minute of play forced Pabellon FC's goalkeeper Albino Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 87 played minutes Malaquin got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Veliz. Jeronimo Warnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Ferreira having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Malaquin walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
