If Victor Hugo Ordoñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 played minutes Tomeco got a freekick which was hit by Ricard San Miguel. Asa FC's Fidelio Iglesias got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rubén Carranza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxín Carcavilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ricard San Miguel fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tomeco's protests and gave Ricard San Miguel a yellow card for diving instead. Fidelio Iglesias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelado Orella having to interfere. Asa FC's Rubén Carranza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimiro Renquin in the 38th minute of play. Vladimiro Renquin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maxín Carcavilla struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Rubén Carranza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tomeco. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladimiro Renquin in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rubén Carranza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fidelio Iglesias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Tomeco's goal looked a bit too open when Fidelio Iglesias came free, but Abelado Orella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maxín Carcavilla couldn't finish the play. Rubén Carranza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vladimiro Renquin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 87 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maxín Carcavilla got free with Rubén Carranza in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Genaro Manguyague's late challenge caught a Asa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genaro Manguyague helped the player get up and apologised. After 98 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tomeco! Tomeco's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
