Emilio Felipe Bessoayn was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, Tomeco's goal looked a bit too open when Xavián Andreu came free, but Abelado Orella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Xavián Andreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gregorio Epulef came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Caigua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregorio Epulef couldn't finish the play. Xavián Andreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Emilio Felipe Bessoayn successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gregorio Epulef blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abelado Orella having to make a save. After 63 played minutes, Tomeco's Francisco Alberto Maldonado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emilio Felipe Bessoayn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tomeco reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Renquin in the 65th minute of play forced Caigua's goalkeeper Emilio Felipe Bessoayn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Xavián Andreu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caigua fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 72nd minute Gregorio Epulef shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelado Orella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomeco's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
