An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Arco in the 22nd minute of play forced Montandon AFC's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Frago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaston Arco might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horacio Jesus Frago. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaston Arco ran back to his position shaking his head. Erik Schmauk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Jesus Frago having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Archibaldo Oxley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. César Van Dijk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enzo Olaso in the 77th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Gaston Arco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Jesus Frago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 played minutes Pumiri got a freekick which was hit by Silviano Escalona. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Archibaldo Oxley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montandon AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Archibaldo Oxley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. César Van Dijk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erik Schmauk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute.
