With a little luck, QUILMES AFC's Leovigildo Barrios got control of the ball when Mercurio Mercado tried to sneak it across the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, QUILMES AFC's Blanco López nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eustacio Escalante made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Lantadilla in the 9th minute of play forced QUILMES AFC's goalkeeper Leovigildo Barrios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Guarilihue's Leovigildo Barrios threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Geofredo Vega, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Eustacio Escalante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blanco López in the 17th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Blanco López put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Eustacio Escalante. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramón Villaseñor in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eustacio Escalante saved Guarilihue from getting behind. Leovigildo Barrios made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Honorato Larrea sent off a good shot on target. In the 32ndth minute of the game Blanco López who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guarilihue's Eustacio Escalante was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Clemencín Ferraro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blanco López in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eustacio Escalante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Blanco López in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eustacio Escalante saved Guarilihue from getting behind. Leovigildo Barrios made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Lantadilla in the 45th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Baquedano in the 46th minute of play forced QUILMES AFC's goalkeeper Leovigildo Barrios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Guarilihue players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. QUILMES AFC were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adam Baquedano made a kick off. Eustacio Escalante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blanco López in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blanco López in the 54th minute of play forced Guarilihue's goalkeeper Eustacio Escalante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th match minute, Guarilihue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorato Larrea to maneuver through the defense. In the 70thth minute of the game Blanco López who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guarilihue's Eustacio Escalante was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mercurio Mercado kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Leovigildo Barrios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorato Larrea in the 76th minute of the match. With his leg Eustacio Escalante managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when QUILMES AFC's Blanco López fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ramón Villaseñor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leovigildo Barrios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorato Larrea in the 81st minute of the match. In the 91st minute, QUILMES AFC's Ramón Villaseñor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. 95 minutes into the match, QUILMES AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Baquedano came free, but Leovigildo Barrios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eustacio Escalante stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blanco López's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The Guarilihue fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. QUILMES AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
