Spectators: 7230 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 40) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Francisco Javier Betanzos got the match started through his kick off. Javier Manterola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavi Yanque, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Quilitapia FC's Javier Manterola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavi Yanque in the 5th minute of play. Paulín Marcoleta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Manterola having to interfere. Lois Skewes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 played minutes Tapiche FC got a freekick which was hit by Edilberto Robledo. In the 23rd minute, Francisco Javier Betanzos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lois Skewes in the 26th minute of play forced Tapiche FC's goalkeeper Cresenciano Folch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th match minute, Tapiche FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adán Hermosilla to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Javier Betanzos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cresenciano Folch having to interfere. With a little luck, Quilitapia FC's Javier Manterola got control of the ball when Paulín Marcoleta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Xavi Yanque struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Javier Manterola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tapiche FC. After 33 minutes of play, Tapiche FC's Paulín Marcoleta made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Javier Manterola was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Tapiche FC booed when Quilitapia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Antonio Morandé didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Jose Esteban Ubiergo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tapiche FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Esteban Ubiergo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Quilitapia FC's Francisco Javier Betanzos got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Quilitapia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulín Marcoleta came free, but Javier Manterola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 58 minutes, Lois Skewes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quilitapia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lois Skewes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisco Javier Betanzos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Cresenciano Folch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tapiche FC's Xavi Yanque got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Javier Manterola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulín Marcoleta in the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to Quilitapia FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Tito Anguita hit a great ball. Paulín Marcoleta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Francisco Javier Betanzos fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quilitapia FC's protests and gave Francisco Javier Betanzos a yellow card for diving instead. Javier Manterola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulín Marcoleta's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Cresenciano Folch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Javier Betanzos in the 75th minute of play. If Francisco Javier Betanzos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lois Skewes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Cresenciano Folch made a huge save. After 91 played minutes Tapiche FC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Losada. In the 92nd minute, Damián Marchese fired a really elegant long shot, but Cresenciano Folch threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Xavi Yanque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Manterola having to interfere. Francisco Javier Betanzos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quilitapia FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
