Blanco Cuminao made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lois Skewes in the 5th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blanco Olasagutia in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Javier Manterola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the match, Quilitapia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Blanco Olasagutia came free, but Javier Manterola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Javier Manterola came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportes Mauriño's Blanco Olasagutia. But to his dismay, Blanco Olasagutia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 26th minute, Club Deportes Mauriño's Alejandro Lisperguer seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alejandro Lisperguer the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club Deportes Mauriño protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alejandro Lisperguer had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Club Deportes Mauriño fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Quilitapia FC a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Damián Marchese, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Club Deportes Mauriño's Blanco Cuminao. 2-1. Quilitapia FC's Javier Manterola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosalio Mascaro in the 34th minute of play. After 38 minutes, Francisco Antonio Morandé mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quilitapia FC and the Club Deportes Mauriño players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rosalio Mascaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Manterola having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rosalio Mascaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Quilitapia FC's goalkeeper Javier Manterola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Igor Albuerne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tito Anguita during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 59 played minutes Quilitapia FC got a freekick which was hit by Tito Anguita. Hermelando Daniels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 minutes, Igor Albuerne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Deportes Mauriño and the Quilitapia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Quilitapia FC booed when Club Deportes Mauriño was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Albuerne didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Quilitapia FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Tito Anguita hit a great ball. Rosalio Mascaro in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Javier Manterola, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 78th minute, Club Deportes Mauriño's Rosalio Mascaro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Javier Manterola. Javier Manterola yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. In the 85th minute, Rosalio Mascaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Javier Manterola was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. Rosalio Mascaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Manterola having to interfere. Club Deportes Mauriño's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
