The Lincai FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pablo Rossel should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute Severo Aiach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Rossel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Abtao FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Evaristo Warnes made the kick off in the second half. Celino Porter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinaldo Penschke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Severo Aiach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogerio Cuello got in the 65th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Pablo Rossel handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Severo Aiach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Rossel having to interfere. Celino Porter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Penschke in the 72nd minute of play. Abtao FC's Rogerio Cuello got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Abtao FC's Rogerio Cuello sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pablo Rossel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pablo Rossel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Aiach, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Severo Aiach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rogerio Cuello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lincai FC's goalkeeper Pablo Rossel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92nd minute of the match Felipe Manhood sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pablo Rossel skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Aiach in the 93rd minute of play forced Lincai FC's goalkeeper Pablo Rossel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abtao FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
