Juan Pablo Illanes Ansaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Juan Alberto Anfruns hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Colchane's zone, Plácido Moncada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Cabedo came out of the goal and Plácido Moncada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute, Plácido Moncada fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gilberto Cabedo, passed just outside the right post. Jacobo Ríos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Cabedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Plácido Moncada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 21st play minutes Nicasio Villanueva shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Norberto Cotapos and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 25th minute of the match Fernán Wilshaw sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilberto Cabedo skillfully saved the ball. Colchane's Gilberto Cabedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Colchane from getting a goal against them. Flavio Cobo's late challenge caught a Japucucho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavio Cobo helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had been going on for 30 minutes, Japucucho's Baudelio Grillo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gilberto Cabedo. If Jacobo Ríos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Plácido Moncada struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Gilberto Cabedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Japucucho. Jacobo Ríos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gilberto Cabedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Jacobo Ríos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Jacobo Ríos made the kick off in the second half. Japucucho's Norberto Cotapos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Villanueva in the 54th minute of play. Jacobo Ríos kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Jacobo Ríos stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Colchane's defenders and the ball went out. Japucucho appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. After 56 played minutes Japucucho got a freekick which was hit by Baudelio Grillo. Juan Alberto Anfruns's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Norberto Cotapos firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jaime Cabrito's late challenge caught a Colchane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Cabrito helped the player get up and apologised. Gilberto Cabedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobo Ríos, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Japucucho's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
