Tanio Bórquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Acasuso in the 34th minute of play. Aldo Moran hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Pedro Manuel Bustamante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Eriberto Oses tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Anaguani FC booed when Copiapo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Acasuso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saúl Trucios was the one to do the kick off. Pedro Manuel Bustamante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Oses having to interfere. In the 55th minute of the match, Fulco Gómez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tanio Bórquez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
