Juan Carlos Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavián Santibañez, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Xavián Santibañez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Xavián Santibañez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The conaut fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Xavián Santibañez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Constantino Quintano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Feliberto Hoffmann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elodio Mantzke having to make a save. After 35 played minutes conaut got a freekick which was hit by Modestio Urbistondo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evelio Alvarado in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elodio Mantzke saved conaut from getting behind. Genaro Diez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Carlos Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After the first half conaut were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Evelio Alvarado made the kick off in the second half. When Pedro Manuel Jelves fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored conaut's protests and gave Pedro Manuel Jelves a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 54 minutes, Paulo Arechavala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. conaut's Elodio Mantzke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Alvarado in the 60th minute of play. Feliberto Hoffmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elodio Mantzke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Feliberto Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elodio Mantzke having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Alvarado in the 65th minute of play forced conaut's goalkeeper Elodio Mantzke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elodio Mantzke came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Cabana's Evelio Alvarado. But to his dismay, Evelio Alvarado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When Raimundo Mata fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored conaut's protests and gave Raimundo Mata a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd minute, Raimundo Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 74th minute of the match Raimundo Mata completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Raimundo Mata a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Raimundo Mata hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match.
