After some careless play in the Machuca defense, Abner Friederichs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christian Camus. The Machuca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Camus should have stopped the shot. Ulises Marzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Ferrada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Machuca's Marcos Fedeghelli got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ulises Marzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Ferrada, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Real gamboa fans cheered their team off the field, for while Machuca had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
