In the 5th minute, Josías Valverde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Deportes Temuco's Héctor Pasos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noé Aliaga in the 10th minute of play. Eladio Beiza made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Josías Valverde sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute, Carlo Peredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Noé Aliaga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noé Aliaga in the 23rd minute of play forced Club Deportes Temuco's goalkeeper Héctor Pasos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josías Valverde struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Eladio Beiza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Deportes Temuco. In the 30th minute Carlo Peredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eladio Beiza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Club Deportes Temuco's Josías Valverde nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eladio Beiza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quintén Valdés in the 48th minute of play forced Club Deportes Temuco's goalkeeper Héctor Pasos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd match minute, Club Deportes Temuco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertrán Olasagutia to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes Temuco's Bertrán Olasagutia got a free kick in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, Fanqui FC's Alifonso Escalona broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 57 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Temuco's goal looked a bit too open when Noé Aliaga came free, but Héctor Pasos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Noé Aliaga came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Fanqui FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noé Aliaga couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes Temuco's Fulgencio Rufo got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Club Deportes Temuco's Héctor Pasos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportes Temuco from getting a goal against them. Quintén Valdés received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Héctor Pasos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quintén Valdés recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Quintén Valdés got free in front of the goal in the 80th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Héctor Pasos was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Noé Aliaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Héctor Pasos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes Temuco's Bertrán Olasagutia got a free kick in the 89th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Quintén Valdés managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fanqui FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Quintén Valdés was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Héctor Pasos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Noé Aliaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Héctor Pasos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute of the match, Quintén Valdés got a very nice opportunity to score, but Héctor Pasos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Club Deportes Temuco fans cheered their team off the field, for while Fanqui FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
