Quetalco's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Inocencio White scored to the left of an out of position Christian Saa, making the score, 1-0. Zebulón Mahuzier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moncho Mosca, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Mikel Parot's late challenge caught a Tolten AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mikel Parot helped the player get up and apologised. Mikel Parot hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Inocente Barrientos kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Moncho Mosca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zebulón Mahuzier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eladio Talamilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Telmo Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Saa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio White, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Eladio Talamilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Inocencio White had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

After some careless play in the Quetalco defense, Julio Carson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christian Saa. The Quetalco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Saa should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eladio Talamilla got free with Zebulón Mahuzier in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st minute, Telmo Varela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Quetalco's Adolfo Aragón got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Inocencio White received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Christian Saa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Tolten AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Moncho Mosca came free, but Zebulón Mahuzier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tolten AFC's Inocente Barrientos got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 78th match minute, Quetalco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Archibaldo Delano to maneuver through the defense. If Telmo Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Julio Carson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inocencio White's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Saa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Tolten AFC's Zebulón Mahuzier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Tolten AFC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Telmo Varela in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Saa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Quetalco's Christian Saa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo Varela in the 90th minute of play. Eladio Talamilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zebulón Mahuzier having to interfere. Quetalco's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
