With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuelo Araube in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Faraggi saved CORTAVIENTO from getting behind. A collision led to Chungungo getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Fernando Owen hit a great ball. Manuelo Araube scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santiago Faraggi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Delgadillo during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Chungungo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Delgadillo to maneuver through the defense. Cipriano Marshall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matteo Constantinescu having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Armando Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santiago Faraggi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuelo Araube, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chungungo's Matteo Constantinescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Chungungo from getting a goal against them. When Casimír Milroy came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the CORTAVIENTO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casimír Milroy couldn't finish the play. Cipriano Marshall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Casimír Milroy managed to get in a good position for a shot. CORTAVIENTO's supporters rose to their feet, but Casimír Milroy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matteo Constantinescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of CORTAVIENTO booed when Chungungo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuelo Araube didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Silviano Pantoja fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CORTAVIENTO's protests and gave Silviano Pantoja a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes CORTAVIENTO got a freekick which was hit by Silviano Pantoja. The CORTAVIENTO players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chungungo were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuelo Araube to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Cipriano Marshall notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Chungungo's Matteo Constantinescu. Matteo Constantinescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to CORTAVIENTO getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Renato Canales hit a great ball. If Manuelo Araube had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 played minutes Chungungo got a freekick which was hit by Manuelo Araube. Cipriano Marshall struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Matteo Constantinescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CORTAVIENTO. Cipriano Marshall scored 2-2 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matteo Constantinescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
