The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaume Matta got free with Modestio Barcena in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the match, Selmo Klein had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Saa. Quetalco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Selmo Klein was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 18th match minute, Tilama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remi Maritano to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adolfo Aragón during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute, Adolfo Aragón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tilama's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Moncho Mosca scored to the left of an out of position Modestio Barcena, making the score, 1-1. 36 minutes into the game, Tilama's Selmo Klein nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Saa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Alejandro Macchiavello's late challenge caught a Tilama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alejandro Macchiavello helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Tilama booed when Quetalco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Macchiavello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Moncho Mosca to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tilama's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alejandro Macchiavello was slow to take the kick. During this time Quetalco's players had a chance to rest. Modestio Barcena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moncho Mosca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moncho Mosca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eladio Talamilla came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Quetalco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eladio Talamilla couldn't finish the play. 72 minutes into the match, Tilama's goal looked a bit too open when Moncho Mosca came free, but Modestio Barcena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Selmo Klein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Saa having to interfere. Severiano Pechini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Christian Saa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Saa came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Tilama's Selmo Klein. But to his dismay, Selmo Klein quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Christian Saa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Selmo Klein in the 79th minute. Selmo Klein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 87 minutes, Selmo Klein managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tilama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Selmo Klein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the game, Mikel Parot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quetalco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tilama the free kick. After 91 played minutes Quetalco got a freekick which was hit by Mikel Parot. Moncho Mosca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Modestio Barcena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moncho Mosca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Tilama left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Quetalco.
