Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Xamín Malbec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 33 minutes, Xamín Malbec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Punucapa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xamín Malbec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Yoel Madaune fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cocoteros F.C's protests and gave Yoel Madaune a yellow card for diving instead. 36 minutes into the game, one of Cocoteros F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alessandro Saravia walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Juan Miguel Parada received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alvino Ceballos came out and tried to block the shot, but Juan Miguel Parada slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 39th minute. With a little luck, Cocoteros F.C's Alvino Ceballos got control of the ball when Juan Miguel Parada tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Demesio Fuica to strike the kick off in the second half. Alvino Ceballos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xamín Malbec in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Punucapa's goalkeeper Pere Foretic, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
