The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Miquel Píriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocente Lazcano having to interfere. If Miquel Píriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the game, Calixto Fiamenghi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Inocente Lazcano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 33 minutes into the game, Huite FC's Baldomero Carreño nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alonso Plata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in Penaflor fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Alonso Plata, was totally fooled by Huite FC's Josías Granados, who 41 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 44th match minute, Penaflor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Próspero Solares to maneuver through the defense. 49 minutes into the match, Huite FC's Baltazar Santelices sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alonso Plata narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Mercé La Motte made the kick off in the second half. When Mercé La Motte came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Huite FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mercé La Motte couldn't finish the play. Huite FC's Inocente Lazcano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Huite FC from getting a goal against them. Mercé La Motte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonso Plata having to interfere. Baldomero Carreño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Alonso Plata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inocente Lazcano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calixto Fiamenghi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73 played minutes Huite FC got a freekick which was hit by Baldomero Carreño. Calixto Fiamenghi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Inocente Lazcano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zenaido Bobadilla charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zenaido Bobadilla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 80 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Huite FC's Baldomero Carreño fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Xacobo Tello kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Miquel Píriz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inocente Lazcano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Inocente Lazcano was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Calixto Fiamenghi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Calixto Fiamenghi really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Alonso Plata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mercé La Motte in the 90th minute of play. Inocente Lazcano made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Miquel Píriz sent off a good shot on target. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
