Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ambrosio Detmer took the kick off in the first half of the match. Serafín Pedregal struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Narcomillo Durney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loncopangue. Jacob Sotomayor hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Ignacio Macchiavello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loncopangue's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacio Macchiavello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narcomillo Durney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 29 minutes, Serafín Pedregal made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. U.Catolica's Narcomillo Durney tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd minute, one of U.Catolica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for U.Catolica. In the 36th minute, Esequiel Jaramillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Normando Haviland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Detmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Serafín Pedregal made the kick off in the second half. When Victoriano Iriarte fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U.Catolica's protests and gave Victoriano Iriarte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd match minute, U.Catolica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Iriarte to maneuver through the defense. Ignacio Macchiavello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Narcomillo Durney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Ignacio Macchiavello put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Narcomillo Durney. Ignacio Macchiavello took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Narcomillo Durney. Narcomillo Durney dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Normando Haviland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Detmer in the 74th minute of play. Ignacio Macchiavello charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ignacio Macchiavello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Loncopangue getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ignacio Macchiavello hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Detmer in the 85th minute of play forced Loncopangue's goalkeeper Normando Haviland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victoriano Iriarte's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Normando Haviland skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Ignacio Macchiavello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Normando Haviland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the U.Catolica players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Loncopangue.
