Spectators: 6851 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 148) FC Espartanos 11's Mario Alberto Galdames started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adelino Badal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Alberto Galdames, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Román Mac Lean's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Adelino Badal firmly grabbed it by the left post. Román Mac Lean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Espartanos 11's Andolín Van Schowen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Maria Barrera in the 11th minute of play. After 12 played minutes FC Espartanos 11 got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Rodríguez. Román Mac Lean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Adelino Badal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Iván Aguilera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chanqueahue's Iván Aguilera got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jose Maria Barrera in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andolín Van Schowen saved FC Espartanos 11 from getting behind. Thanks to some nice moves Román Mac Lean could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Adelino Badal however easily saved by the left post. Adelino Badal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Alberto Galdames in the 30th minute of the match. Jose Maria Barrera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Román Mac Lean kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adelino Badal. That made the score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. Román Mac Leans short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Adelino Badal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mario Daly during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 48 played minutes FC Espartanos 11 got a freekick which was hit by Mario Daly. After having played for 49 minutes, Jose Maria Barrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chanqueahue's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Maria Barrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 54th match minute, Chanqueahue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernán Ferrer to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Román Mac Lean made a precise shot to the right of Adelino Badal. Chanqueahue's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After having played for 61 minutes, Jose Maria Barrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chanqueahue's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Maria Barrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd minute of the match Viviano Massenlli sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adelino Badal skillfully saved the ball. Román Mac Lean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Andolín Van Schowen managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Chanqueahue's Jose Maria Barrera fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 99 minutes into the match, Chanqueahue's goal looked a bit too open when Román Mac Lean came free, but Adelino Badal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The FC Espartanos 11 support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
