Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Valentín Echandia got the match started through his kick off. Bairon Echandia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luis Angel Moreira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Jerardo Arizmendi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10thth minute of the game Bairon Echandia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cachapoal's Luis Angel Moreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cauquenes's Juan Miguel Armanet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Cauquenes from getting a goal against them. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Cachapoal's goal looked a bit too open when Bairon Echandia came free, but Luis Angel Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Casimiro Ornaz during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Cauquenes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casimiro Ornaz to maneuver through the defense. In the 24thth minute of the game Valentín Echandia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cauquenes's Juan Miguel Armanet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th minute, Jon-Ander Benavente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valentín Echandia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Juan Miguel Armanet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A collision led to Cauquenes getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Casimiro Ornaz hit a great ball. Luis Angel Moreira was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Silvestre From. Juan Miguel Armanet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Zuburu, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Bairon Echandia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luis Angel Moreira. That made the score 0-1 in the 62 minute of play. Cachapoal's Valentín Echandia got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bairon Echandia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Luis Angel Moreira made a huge save. 72 minutes in the game, Bairon Echandia fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Luis Angel Moreira having to interfere. In the 74th minute of the match Cauquenes got a corner. Cachapoal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Silvestre From ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Alcadio Opazo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Nafarroa Davy hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Bairon Echandia took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Luis Angel Moreira to make any attempt to save it. Silvestre From took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luis Angel Moreira. Cachapoal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jerardo Arizmendi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cauquenes eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
