José Alejandro Uribe charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Castro AFC booed when Concepción Azul F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Alejandro Uribe didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Concepción Azul F.C.'s Gabino Saldés got control of the ball when Rafael Aujea tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Aluísio Cunha got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gabino Saldés showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aluísio Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After having played for 33 minutes, Enmanuel Feldman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Concepción Azul F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Enmanuel Feldman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jose Manuel Cubillos came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Concepción Azul F.C.'s Ulises Urceda. But to his dismay, Ulises Urceda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Aujea in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabino Saldés saved Concepción Azul F.C. from getting behind. Jose Manuel Cubillos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enmanuel Feldman in the 44th minute of the match. If Ulises Urceda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the match, Castro AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Berau came free, but Jose Manuel Cubillos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Aujea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Inocente Parrini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulises Urceda got free with Jose Manuel Cubillos in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 73 minutes into the match, Concepción Azul F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Aluísio Cunha came free, but Gabino Saldés reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Concepción Azul F.C.'s Gabino Saldés played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Gustavo Ebensperger in the 83rd minute of play. Aluísio Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gabino Saldés tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Castro AFC's goalkeeper Jose Manuel Cubillos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
