Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nacho Azcue ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonatán Masson scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ariel Escandón, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adelino Portolés sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Voigue's Victoriano Lanchares got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 16 minutes, Adelino Portolés managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Voigue's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Portolés was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victoriano Lanchares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 24 minutes, Erasmo Stens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chiza and the Voigue players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Chiza got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Stens. The Voigue fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Voigue's Adelino Portolés looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Firmín Canto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Serafín Winter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Nereo Oquendo suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Erasmo Stens hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Adelino Portolés made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Firmín Canto got free with Serafín Winter in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chiza's Ariel Escandón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Portolés in the 59th minute of play. Nacho Azcue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Voigue booed when Chiza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Santa María didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chiza's Ariel Escandón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Portolés in the 73rd minute of play. In the 77th match minute, Voigue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Raúl Duvauchelle to maneuver through the defense. Adelino Portolés sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Serafín Winter came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Chiza's Lorencio Abbatte. But to his dismay, Lorencio Abbatte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adelino Portolés in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ariel Escandón saved Chiza from getting behind. Chiza's Ariel Escandón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Portolés in the 90th minute of play. Ariel Escandón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Portolés, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Voigue fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chiza had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
