Alberto Poisson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillermo Manríquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 8th minute, Lucas Marfan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Luis Octavio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 11 minutes into the game, Hawkpower's Filiberto Amadori nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Luis Octavio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 14 minutes into the match, Hawkpower's goalkeeper Alberto Poisson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arcadio Marinovic. If Arcadio Marinovic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Filiberto Amadori had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Luis Octavio. Lota AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filiberto Amadori was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. José Luis Octavio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filiberto Amadori went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 29th minute, Lucas Marfan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Luis Octavio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Hawkpower's zone, Arcadio Marinovic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Poisson came out of the goal and Arcadio Marinovic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Max Grönberg fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hawkpower's protests and gave Max Grönberg a yellow card for diving instead. Arcadio Marinovics short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Alberto Poisson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Lota AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hawkpower were winning 0-5.

The wind increased when Guillermo Manríquez made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Hawkpower booed when Lota AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arcadio Marinovic didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute Bayron Camiña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Luis Octavio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucas Marfan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Luis Octavio having to interfere. Alberto Poisson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arcadio Marinovic in the 59th minute of the match. José Luis Octavio was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Filiberto Amadori capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Filiberto Amadori really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Narea during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hawkpower getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Emanuel Narea hit a great ball. The supporters of Hawkpower booed when Lota AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Javier Portolés didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filiberto Amadori kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Arcadio Marinovic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Poisson having to interfere. Bayron Camiña received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. José Luis Octavio came out and tried to block the shot, but Bayron Camiña slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 78th minute. After 83 played minutes Hawkpower got a freekick which was hit by Max Grönberg. In the 86th match minute, Lota AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sansón Warnes to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Hawkpower could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lota AFC throughout the match.
