Pelal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Antofagasta FC the free kick. After 14 played minutes Pelal got a freekick which was hit by Hermelando Gandarillas. 18 minutes into the match, Pelal's goal looked a bit too open when Eufrasio Bascur came free, but Jose Ramon Arratia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Antofagasta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Evar came free, but Edilberto Aguacero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jose Ramon Arratia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eufrasio Bascur, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Jose Ramon Arratia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eufrasio Bascur went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 40th minute, Pelal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fidelio Unzueta fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Pelal's Hermelando Gandarillas got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Hermelando Gandarillas off the ground. After 42 played minutes Pelal got a freekick which was hit by Hermelando Gandarillas. In the 43rd minute of the match Gaspar Stuven shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jose Ramon Arratia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eufrasio Bascur in the 47th minute of play forced Pelal's goalkeeper Jose Ramon Arratia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Eufrasio Bascur made the kick off in the second half. Quintín Parra kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 55th minute Eufrasio Bascur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Ramon Arratia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 played minutes Pelal got a freekick which was hit by Quintín Parra. Esteban José Covarrubias kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. When Fidelio Unzueta came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Antofagasta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidelio Unzueta couldn't finish the play. Fidelio Unzueta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Ramon Arratia having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Pelal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Evar to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Filiberto Basanguren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Gaspar Stuven sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pelal's Jose Ramon Arratia didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidelio Unzueta in the 93rd minute of play forced Pelal's goalkeeper Jose Ramon Arratia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 96 minutes of play, Antofagasta FC's Eufrasio Bascur made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jose Ramon Arratia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Antofagasta FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
