The audience thought a goal was coming when Adán Astorga got free with Benedicto Claro in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benedicto Claro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Israel Rueda in the 11th minute of play. Juan Jesus Gorostizaga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zelipe Olivar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Jesus Gorostizaga in the 15th minute of the match. Benedicto Claro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rollo Puerta in the 16th minute of play. 0-2 became the score in the 17th minute when Juan Jesus Gorostizaga elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Jesus Gorostizaga in the 22nd minute of play forced Lomas FC's goalkeeper Zelipe Olivar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ervigio Balcazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Franco Canadiense's Juan Jesus Gorostizaga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zelipe Olivar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 41st minute, Ervigio Balcazar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Franco Canadiense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Juan Jesus Gorostizaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Franco Canadiense were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Jesus Gorostizaga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ervigio Balcazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zelipe Olivar having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Juan Jesus Gorostizaga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zelipe Olivar. That made the score 0-5 in the 55 minute of play. Zelipe Olivar made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Juan Jesus Gorostizaga sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Juan Jesus Gorostizaga got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Jesus Gorostizaga in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zelipe Olivar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zelipe Olivar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ervigio Balcazar in the 64th minute. Benedicto Claro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loreno Oñederra in the 67th minute of play. Franco Canadiense's Ervigio Balcazar was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 71st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Franco Canadiense's Abdurrezzak Mazhar was substituted for Juan Jesus Gorostizaga. The supporters of Franco Canadiense booed when Lomas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loreno Oñederra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 88 minutes, Rollo Puerta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lomas FC and the Franco Canadiense players grew even worse after the yellow card.
