Emmanuel Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Carlos Manuel Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Zetsubou FC's Unai Erwens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicanor Goicoechea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Unai Erwens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carlos Manuel Machado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xabel Larrea's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute, Eloi Barriga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicanor Goicoechea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Unai Erwens, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When Unai Erwens came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Zetsubou FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Unai Erwens couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Nicanor Goicoechea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xaime Mantilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 59th match minute, Zetsubou FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloi Barriga to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Manuel Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xabel Larrea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emmanuel Machado got free with Carlos Manuel Machado in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Manuel Machado made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Emmanuel Machado sent off a good shot on target. But to his dismay, Eduard Muga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. With a little luck, Zetsubou FC's Carlos Manuel Machado got control of the ball when Emmanuel Machado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Xabel Larrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emmanuel Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Manuel Machado having to interfere. Contornasa FC played a much better game than Zetsubou FC and deserved their victory. The Zetsubou FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
