Jimeno Viel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jimeno Viel in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Francisco Bilbao saved Aravilla from getting behind. Jimeno Viel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. José Francisco Bilbao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Aravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Viel came free, but José Francisco Bilbao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domenico Pinaud kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Rogerio Tindall sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Llallauquen's Anastasio Turpin didn't even have to move. Aravilla's Omar Schroeders got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Octavio Jaña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Francisco Bilbao having to interfere. Omar Schroeders received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Anastasio Turpin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, Llallauquen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Jaña to maneuver through the defense. After 38 minutes, Valentino Bacheler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aravilla and the Llallauquen players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Omar Schroeders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Francisco Bilbao made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ubaldo Turres in the 48th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jimeno Viel to make the kick off. Omar Schroeders really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. In the 79th minute Omar Schroeders shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Turpin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anastasio Turpin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Schroeders in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Omar Schroeders managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aravilla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omar Schroeders was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Aravilla supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aravilla would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
