Spectators: 6685 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1685, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tanio Riesco started the match with the kick off. Abraham Arangua's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Próspero Sadin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tanio Riesco in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zenón Binder saved Huantrunes AFC from getting behind. Próspero Sadin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Manuel Pais in the 21st minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Huantrunes AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zenón Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute, Filipo Tindall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 32 minutes, Juan Pablo Fisher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Frutillar FC and the Huantrunes AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Juan Pablo Fisher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Arangua in the 40th minute of play forced Frutillar FC's goalkeeper Próspero Sadin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Próspero Sadin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Manuel Pais in the 42nd minute of play. Filipo Tindalls short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Zenón Binder to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 46 minutes into the match, Frutillar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Manuel Pais came free, but Próspero Sadin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Eduardo Otava's late challenge caught a Frutillar FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduardo Otava helped the player get up and apologised. Frutillar FC's Filipo Tindall got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eduardo Otava hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Frutillar FC's Juan Pablo Fisher tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 71 minutes, Carlos Manuel Pais managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huantrunes AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Manuel Pais was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abelado Carvallo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Frutillar FC's Próspero Sadin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Frutillar FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Carlos Manuel Pais managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huantrunes AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Manuel Pais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Próspero Sadin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute, Frutillar FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abraham Arangua fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Zenón Azócar's late challenge caught a Frutillar FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zenón Azócar helped the player get up and apologised. Huantrunes AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
