The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Maitencillo FC's Juan Alfonso Orostegui got a free kick in the 4th minute. Echedey Pérez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdul Bout, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. A collision led to Maitencillo FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Gabino Villarino hit a great ball. Rafael Oruna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Echedey Pérez made a huge save. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ferrando Payten sped through Maitencillo FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Echedey Pérez. Echedey Pérez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferrando Payten's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Maitencillo FC's Echedey Pérez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferrando Payten in the 30th minute of play. Ferrando Payten's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Echedey Pérez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 32nd minute Antonio Patrickson suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. When Candido Roldán fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maitencillo FC's protests and gave Candido Roldán a yellow card for diving instead. CLUB ATLETICO EL LOCO's Silvestre Basaure was substituted for Antonio Patrickson. After 33 played minutes Maitencillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Candido Roldán. Ferrando Payten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Echedey Pérez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdul Bout, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Maitencillo FC's Saturnín Buzeta got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 42nd play minutes Ferrando Payten shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Echedey Pérez and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, Maitencillo FC's Candido Roldán got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The wind increased when Jaime Bombal made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Rafael Oruna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Echedey Pérez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rodolfo Bertiz took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Echedey Pérez. Echedey Pérez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ferrando Payten in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Echedey Pérez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Silvestre Basaure notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Maitencillo FC's Echedey Pérez. Echedey Pérez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abdul Bout might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Echedey Pérez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abdul Bout ran back to his position shaking his head. Silvestre Basaure's late challenge caught a Maitencillo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvestre Basaure helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th match minute, CLUB ATLETICO EL LOCO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvestre Basaure to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Juan Alfonso Orostegui kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zulfikar Barus. That made the score 6-1 in the 80 minute of play. After 84 minutes of play, CLUB ATLETICO EL LOCO's Rodolfo Bertiz made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Echedey Pérez was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferrando Payten in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Echedey Pérez saved Maitencillo FC from getting behind. 92 minutes into the match, Rafael Oruna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Echedey Pérez. Maitencillo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael Oruna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CLUB ATLETICO EL LOCO fully deserved thier win.
