Echedey Pérez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvino Mackenney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Molinero FC's goalkeeper Quintán Aranibar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Antonio Diestre. Ramon María Alba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Echedey Pérez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramon María Alba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jaime Bombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quintán Aranibar made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Saturnín Buzeta sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute, Jaime Bombal fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Quintán Aranibar, passed just outside the right post. Saturnín Buzeta might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Quintán Aranibar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saturnín Buzeta ran back to his position shaking his head. Jaime Bombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Molinero FC's Quintán Aranibar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Bombal in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramon María Alba to make the kick off. If Ramon María Alba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Candido Roldán charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Candido Roldán the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd match minute, Maitencillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Roldán to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Alvino Mackenney managed to get in a good position for a shot. Molinero FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvino Mackenney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Echedey Pérez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juan Antonio Diestre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, Molinero FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Bombal came free, but Quintán Aranibar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maitencillo FC's Jaime Bombal got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st match minute, Molinero FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Fierro to maneuver through the defense. After 72 played minutes, Maitencillo FC's Juan Alfonso Orostegui shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Quintán Aranibar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Maitencillo FC reached it. With a little luck, Maitencillo FC's Echedey Pérez got control of the ball when Alvino Mackenney tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jaime Bombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvino Mackenney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Echedey Pérez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Maitencillo FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Igon Ruminas hit a great ball. Quintán Aranibar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnín Buzeta in the 93rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Molinero FC's zone, Saturnín Buzeta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quintán Aranibar came out of the goal and Saturnín Buzeta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute, Sergio Fierro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Saturnín Buzeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Maitencillo FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Molinero FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
