Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 148) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cristiano Velarde kicked off to start the match. Cristiano Velarde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luis Angel Ipinza charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Angel Ipinza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 14 minutes into the game, Planchada's Robustiano Grille nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mateo Claude made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Catalá in the 21st minute of play forced Metahue's goalkeeper Mateo Claude to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th match minute, Planchada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sansón Tenorio to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 25 minutes, Juan Eduardo Arbieto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Metahue's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Eduardo Arbieto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Guillermo Argomedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Planchada defense, Cristiano Velarde kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remigio Daroch. The Planchada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remigio Daroch should have stopped the shot. Cristiano Velarde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Remigio Daroch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermenegildo Pinaud kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th match minute, Planchada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robustiano Grille to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute of the game, Archibaldo Gredig landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Luis Angel Ipinza got his second yellow card in the match during the 39th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Luis Angel Ipinza hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Selmo Mac Gill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristiano Velarde could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 50th minute of the match, but Remigio Daroch made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelino Catalá to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Eduardo Arbieto in the 54th minute of play forced Planchada's goalkeeper Remigio Daroch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remigio Daroch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Eduardo Arbieto in the 58th minute of play. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Planchada's goalkeeper Remigio Daroch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Selmo Mac Gill charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Selmo Mac Gill the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Planchada's Selmo Mac Gill got a free kick in the 66th minute. When Cristiano Velarde came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Metahue fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Velarde couldn't finish the play. After 76 minutes of play, Metahue's Cristiano Velarde made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remigio Daroch was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Planchada's Sansón Tenorio got a free kick in the 79th minute. Remigio Daroch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Argomedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remigio Daroch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Velarde, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Cristiano Velarde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcelino Catalá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Claude having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Metahue's zone, Robustiano Grille stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateo Claude came out of the goal and Robustiano Grille tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Metahue players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
