After having played for 36 minutes, Zacarías Longa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quelentaro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zacarías Longa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mercurio Didier might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oriol Bauza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mercurio Didier ran back to his position shaking his head. Oriol Bauza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zacarías Longa in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvio Pomar in the 44th minute of play forced Quelentaro's goalkeeper Darien Ardura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Quelentaro players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ancuaque FC were winning 0-2.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mercurio Didier in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oriol Bauza saved Ancuaque FC from getting behind. Gonzalo Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nestor Llaullau struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Oriol Bauza came out of the goal and Zacarías Longa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Ancuaque FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ancuaque FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
