But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinos Canepa couldn't finish the play. In the game's 37th minute Tenaun's Ruesga Ochoa took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Zenón Arizaga and thus the score was 1-0. Vinos Canepa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenón Arizaga having to interfere. Tamentica FC's Zenón Arizaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Tamentica FC from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Carlos Gustavo Falcone kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bartolomé Edwards in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zenón Arizaga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Vinos Canepa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tenaun's supporters rose to their feet, but Vinos Canepa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zenón Arizaga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Anselmo Caro fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tamentica FC's protests and gave Anselmo Caro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th match minute, Tamentica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Caro to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, Tenaun's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Erwens came free, but Celedonio Jeldrez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niceto Arciego lost his temper 83 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 82 minutes into the game, one of Tamentica FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ruesga Ochoa shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Vinos Canepa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zenón Arizaga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Tenaun players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
