Deportes Nacimiento's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Celedonio Jeldrez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eber Pardo went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robustiano Lois during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Tenaun:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Deportes Nacimiento:s goal. If Eber Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Lois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolomé Edwards in the 34th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Bartolomé Edwards took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Albert Lois to make any attempt to save it. Albert Lois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolomé Edwards, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorge Artigas was the one to do the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Eber Pardo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Bartolomé Edwards sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tenaun's Marín San Roman suffered a sore foot after 85 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 86 played minutes Deportes Nacimiento got a freekick which was hit by Victoro Galeno. Tenaun's Celedonio Jeldrez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Artigas in the 88th minute of play. A collision led to Tenaun getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Bartolomé Edwards hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Celedonio Jeldrez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Celedonio Jeldrez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Artigas in the 92nd minute of the match. Tenaun's Basilio Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Tenaun players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
