Salvador Felip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban José Van Diest in the 33rd minute of play. In the 38th minute, Jeremías Serna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Salvador Felip showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban José Van Diest in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Metrenco were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Esteban José Van Diest to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Tomaguaya FC's Sandro Mujica got a free kick in the 51st minute. Oscar Liberona was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Jeremías Serna capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jeremías Serna really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. 57 minutes into the match, Tomaguaya FC's goalkeeper Oscar Liberona had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damario Beauchef. The crowd rose to their feet as Metrenco's Estebano Ugas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oscar Liberona. That made the score 0-4 after 59 minutes of play. 66 minutes into the match, Tomaguaya FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremías Serna came free, but Oscar Liberona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremías Serna in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Liberona prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Maurino Backhouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Metrenco's Salvador Felip played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban José Van Diest in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Estebano Ugas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Metrenco's supporters rose to their feet, but Estebano Ugas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Liberona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Metrenco players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
