Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rosalio Forster made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Quilquen FC's zone, Rosalio Forster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genaro Goyeneche came out of the goal and Rosalio Forster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Quilquen FC's Santiago Pairoa threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Estevan Tagle, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Darien Rovers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Pairoa having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, Quilquen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian Anania to maneuver through the defense. When Rosalio Forster, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 17 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Genaro Goyeneche was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 19th minute Estevan Tagle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Pairoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Puchurca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Soupper to maneuver through the defense. Rosalio Forster charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rosalio Forster the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, Puchurca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosalio Forster to maneuver through the defense. Darien Rovers's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Santiago Pairoa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 38 minutes, Darien Rovers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quilquen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darien Rovers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Estevan Tagle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santiago Pairoa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of Quilquen FC booed when Puchurca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Retana didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute of the match Brian Anania shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Santiago Pairoa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Estevan Tagle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Santiago Pairoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darien Rovers struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Santiago Pairoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quilquen FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Carlos García got free with Genaro Goyeneche in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Puchurca's Ismael Soupper got a free kick in the 70th minute. When Marcelo Retana fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Puchurca's protests and gave Marcelo Retana a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Marcelo Retana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brian Anania's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Santiago Pairoa on his right side and into the goal. 73 minutes into the game it was 2-0. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Carlos García couldn't finish the play. Santiago Pairoa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Darien Rovers's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. If José Julio Cubillos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santiago Pairoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Estevan Tagle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darien Rovers in the 96th minute of play forced Puchurca's goalkeeper Santiago Pairoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quilquen FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
