In the 2nd match minute, Carrizal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Maggiora to maneuver through the defense. Giancarlo Honorato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Menéndez Dohrmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carrizal FC's Esteban Chavarria got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adolfo Ostermann might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Menéndez Dohrmann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adolfo Ostermann ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Hurtado in the 23rd minute of play forced Voigue's goalkeeper Sisebuto Goyenechea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sisebuto Goyenechea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Chavarria in the 29th minute of play. Giancarlo Honorato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Menéndez Dohrmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teobaldo Barnard struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Menéndez Dohrmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Voigue. Esteban Chavarria took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sisebuto Goyenechea. Sisebuto Goyenechea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 45 minutes into the match, Voigue's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Hurtado came free, but Sisebuto Goyenechea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raymundo Armando kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Rodolfo Hurtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Voigue players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Carrizal FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Teobaldo Barnard made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Voigue got a freekick which was hit by Cirilo Solo. Sisebuto Goyenechea came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Carrizal FC's Rodolfo Hurtado. But to his dismay, Rodolfo Hurtado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Esteban Chavarria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sisebuto Goyenechea having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Esteban Chavarria rounded Voigue's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. If Giancarlo Honorato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carrizal FC's Rodolfo Hurtado managed to work through Voigue's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Rodolfo Hurtado dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The supporters of Carrizal FC booed when Voigue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Otazo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Chavarria in the 76th minute of play forced Voigue's goalkeeper Sisebuto Goyenechea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute Esteban Chavarria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sisebuto Goyenechea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sisebuto Goyenechea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Chavarria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Carrizal FC's Rodolfo Hurtado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sisebuto Goyenechea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 89 minutes into the game, Esteban Chavarria lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Sisebuto Goyenechea. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Alberto Carrizo in the 96th minute of play forced Voigue's goalkeeper Sisebuto Goyenechea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Carrizal FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Carrizal FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
