Spectators: 8001 (Terracing: 6002, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 159) Karlos Aristizaval started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to Barcedivia getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Maurício Pinilla hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Daniel Carioca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Pablo Magnani was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 17th minute, Karlos Aristizaval got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 18 minutes into the game, Maurício Pinilla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barcedivia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ultimo Batallon de Wotan the free kick. Hermengildo Markel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karlos Aristizaval's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Ultimo Batallon de Wotan's Juan Pablo Magnani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Carioca in the 26th minute of play. With a little luck, Barcedivia's Hermengildo Markel got control of the ball when Karlos Aristizaval tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Ultimo Batallon de Wotan defense, Daniel Carioca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Pablo Magnani. The Ultimo Batallon de Wotan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Pablo Magnani should have stopped the shot. If Daniel Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Barcedivia's goal looked a bit too open when Karlos Aristizaval came free, but Hermengildo Markel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Karlos Aristizaval had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hermengildo Markel. Barcedivia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karlos Aristizaval was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Carioca to make the kick off. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barcedivia's goalkeeper Hermengildo Markel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juan Pablo Magnani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Carioca in the 57th minute of play. Karlos Aristizaval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Markel having to interfere. Karlos Aristizaval recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute Daniel Carioca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Pablo Magnani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Pablo Magnani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rocco Siffredi in the 80th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Barcedivia's Daniel Carioca slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juan Pablo Magnani. That made the score 1-3 after 81 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Maurício Pinilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcedivia's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurício Pinilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Pablo Magnani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
