Ismael Yorgos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narcomillo Cuadra in the 15th minute of play. Narcomillo Cuadra took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ismael Yorgos. Ismael Yorgos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Adriano Guevara fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Renegados de Renford's protests and gave Adriano Guevara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute Narcomillo Cuadra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Yorgos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renegados de Renford's Ismael Yorgos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Nazario Colimán in the 30th minute of play. Narcomillo Cuadra's late challenge caught a Renegados de Renford's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Narcomillo Cuadra helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th minute Sansón Almeyda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Yorgos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Ismael Nazario Colimán left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Machalí City FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 45 played minutes Renegados de Renford got a freekick which was hit by Zebulón Marsano. Tomás Urresti took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ismael Yorgos. Renegados de Renford's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Narcomillo Cuadra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Renegados de Renford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Oyarzabal to maneuver through the defense. Ismael Nazario Colimán sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Aurelio Oyarzabal kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Juan Estevan Veliz kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Elías Soupper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Ismael Nazario Colimán notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Renegados de Renford's Ismael Yorgos. Ismael Yorgos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Ismael Yorgos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Aurelio Oyarzabal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Yorgos made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Ismael Nazario Colimán sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd match minute, Renegados de Renford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Oyarzabal to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes into the match, Renegados de Renford's goal looked a bit too open when Narcomillo Cuadra came free, but Ismael Yorgos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Renegados de Renford defense, Sansón Almeyda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ismael Yorgos. The Renegados de Renford fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ismael Yorgos should have stopped the shot. 90 minutes into the game, Aníbal Bishara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Machalí City FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Renegados de Renford the free kick. In the 90th minute, Aníbal Bishara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Machalí City FC's zone, Adriano Guevara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. César Alfonso came out of the goal and Adriano Guevara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Renegados de Renford supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Machalí City FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Machalí City FC.
