Álvaro Vidal might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hermengildo Markel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Álvaro Vidal ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th minute, Los Tres Animales's Álvaro Vidal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hermengildo Markel. Hermengildo Markel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Hermengildo Markel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Álvaro Vidal in the 31st minute. 40 minutes into the game, Juanjo Soruco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barcedivia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Tres Animales the free kick. Juanjo Soruco kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Álvaro Vidal struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Hermengildo Markel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Tres Animales.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Carioca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 59 minutes, Álvaro Vidal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Tres Animales and the Barcedivia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 59 played minutes Los Tres Animales got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Vidal. The throw-in from Leovigildo Olave in the 62nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Barcedivia's Teofilio Mackenney. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Maurício Pinilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcedivia's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurício Pinilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Ángel Marín breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Los Tres Animales getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Álvaro Vidal hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Barcedivia's zone, Narciso Godoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermengildo Markel came out of the goal and Narciso Godoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barcedivia's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Los Tres Animales had won, even though Barcedivia had held more of the ball.
