The referee gave Osorno FC a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Federico Benoit, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Penco FC's Yeray Urresti. 1-0. Yeray Urresti was a little too slow when Federico Benoit got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 2-0. 13 minutes into the match, Evelio Allende notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Osorno FC's Horacio Jesus Serna. Horacio Jesus Serna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Federico Benoit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Allende in the 19th minute of play forced Osorno FC's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Serna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Penco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Benoit came free, but Yeray Urresti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elear Quevedo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Horacio Jesus Serna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Allende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Benoit in the 25th minute of play forced Penco FC's goalkeeper Yeray Urresti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yeray Urresti came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Osorno FC's Federico Benoit. But to his dismay, Federico Benoit quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Penco FC's zone, Federico Benoit stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yeray Urresti came out of the goal and Federico Benoit tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Federico Benoit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Federico Benoit to make the kick off. Horacio Jesus Serna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elear Quevedo in the 51st minute. The supporters of Osorno FC booed when Penco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elear Quevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Elear Quevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Osorno FC's Federico Benoit sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yeray Urresti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Penco FC's zone, Federico Benoit stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yeray Urresti came out of the goal and Federico Benoit tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yeray Urresti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Benoit in the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Federico Benoit left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Osorno FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Horacio Jesus Serna successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 80th minute Federico Benoit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yeray Urresti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 minutes, Aitor Goñi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Penco FC and the Osorno FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Penco FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Aitor Goñi hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Guillermo Munizaga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Federico Benoit took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yeray Urresti. Yeray Urresti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Horacio Jesus Serna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Allende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st match minute, Penco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elear Quevedo to maneuver through the defense. If Victoriano Minden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yeray Urresti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Federico Benoit went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Osorno FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
