Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Javier Peñafiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Benoit in the 4th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Federico Benoit notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mallleco Unido's Javier Peñafiel. Javier Peñafiel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Federico Benoit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Osorno FC's Victoriano Minden got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th match minute, Mallleco Unido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Cristóbal Macera to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Mallleco Unido's Horacio Jesus Serna threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Florentino Mansilla, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 25th minute, Victoriano Minden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute, Florentino Mansilla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 33 minutes, Mark Wittemberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mallleco Unido and the Osorno FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Mallleco Unido got a freekick which was hit by Mark Wittemberg. In the 37th minute Federico Benoit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Peñafiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Jacinto Giagier kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Victoriano Minden left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Osorno FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Federico Benoit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Peñafiel having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Mallleco Unido's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Benoit came free, but Javier Peñafiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Florentino Mansilla made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Federico Benoit got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leopoldo Jacinto Giagier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of Mallleco Unido:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Osorno FC:s goal. Federico Benoit shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Nil Yudin's late challenge caught a Mallleco Unido's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nil Yudin helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mallleco Unido booed when Osorno FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nil Yudin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Federico Benoit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mallleco Unido's Javier Peñafiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Benoit in the 88th minute of play. Mallleco Unido's Mark Wittemberg got his second yellow card of the match in the 90th minute. The referee ordered Mark Wittemberg off the ground. A collision led to Mallleco Unido getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Mark Wittemberg hit a great ball. After 97 played minutes Mallleco Unido got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Jacinto Giagier. Osorno FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
