After 14 minutes, Mark Wittemberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mallleco Unido and the Penco FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Javier Peñafiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Allende in the 18th minute of play. Ferrán Bernales took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Javier Peñafiel. Javier Peñafiel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mallleco Unido's Javier Peñafiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Allende in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Mallleco Unido getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Florín Canal hit a great ball. Evelio Allende took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Javier Peñafiel. Javier Peñafiel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. A collision led to Mallleco Unido getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Quentín Olarra hit a great ball. Leopoldo Jacinto Giagier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the game, Florín Canal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mallleco Unido's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Penco FC the free kick. The supporters of Penco FC booed when Mallleco Unido was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florín Canal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Evelio Allende made the kick off in the second half. Ferrán Bernales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Javier Peñafiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leoncio Inostroza scored 2-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yeray Urresti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Cristián Partarrieu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mallleco Unido's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristián Partarrieu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yeray Urresti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florín Canal hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Ferrán Bernales came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Javier Peñafiel could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferrán Bernales got free with Javier Peñafiel in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yeray Urresti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florentino Mansilla went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florentino Mansilla in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yeray Urresti saved Penco FC from getting behind. After 73 minutes, Florentino Mansilla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mallleco Unido and the Penco FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Florentino Mansilla kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Florentino Mansilla scored 4-2 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yeray Urresti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th match minute, Mallleco Unido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florín Canal to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mallleco Unido fans cheered their team off the field, for while Penco FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
