The audience was convinced that Clemencín Arriagada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernán Redondo was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Javier Vivero made a kick off. After 55th play minutes Clemencín Arriagada shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Fernán Redondo and just under the crossbar into goal. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Quirihue would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
