Adelino Marzullo was a little too slow when Julio Segarra got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in El Dragón FC's zone, Pío Schiappacasse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uriel Risopatrón came out of the goal and Pío Schiappacasse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute, Horacio Jesus Lavanderos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alegale United's Adelino Marzullo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julio Segarra in the 16th minute of play. Salomón Larenas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Risopatrón having to interfere. In the 21st minute Julio Segarra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Marzullo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Pío Schiappacasse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Uriel Risopatrón. El Dragón FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pío Schiappacasse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Pío Schiappacasse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Risopatrón having to interfere. Adelino Marzullo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Segarra in the 34th minute of the match. Marcos Andrada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Adelino Marzullo made a huge save. Uriel Risopatrón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pío Schiappacasse in the 38th minute of play. Salomón Larenas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Risopatrón having to interfere. Julio Segarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Marzullo having to interfere. Adelino Marzullo was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Marcos Andrada capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcos Andrada really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. After having played for 46 minutes, Salomón Larenas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alegale United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salomón Larenas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julio Segarra was the one to do the kick off. Pío Schiappacasse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Uriel Risopatrón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alegale United's Adelino Marzullo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Panatt in the 55th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Salomón Larenas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alegale United's supporters rose to their feet, but Salomón Larenas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uriel Risopatrón breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcos Andrada scored 4-2 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adelino Marzullo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Segarra took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adelino Marzullo. Adelino Marzullo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Alegale United's Salomón Larenas got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Salomón Larenas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Risopatrón having to interfere. A throw-in in the 77th minute of the game was made by Arnaldo Portusagasti with Alfonso Panatt as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Salomón Larenas might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Uriel Risopatrón. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Salomón Larenas ran back to his position shaking his head. Uriel Risopatrón was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Salomón Larenas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-3 in the 81 minute of play. Uriel Risopatrón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Eleysegui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Salomón Larenas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st match minute, El Dragón FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo Portusagasti to maneuver through the defense. Pío Schiappacasse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Uriel Risopatrón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, El Dragón FC could leave the field as winners, despite Alegale United having more of the ball for most of the match.
