When Omar Magalhaes fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guaillane's protests and gave Omar Magalhaes a yellow card for diving instead. Omar Magalhaes hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Héctor David Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentín Taibo having to interfere. After 38 played minutes Club Atlético Camafeo got a freekick which was hit by Nauzet Harun. After having played for 40 minutes, Alexandro Huneeus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaillane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandro Huneeus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The crowd rose to their feet as Jose Anabalon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Valentín Taibo. That made the score 0-1 in the 59 minute of play.
