Spectators: 7181 (Terracing: 5971, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 10) Metin Başeski came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by MERIDA FC's Paulín Larraguibel. But to his dismay, Paulín Larraguibel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Paulín Larraguibel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Metin Başeski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliazar Guajardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, Chilecito AFC's Cresenciano Panatt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marino Somoza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 22nd minute Martino Ureta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Metin Başeski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Gerardo Mellado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Metin Başeski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 27th match minute, Chilecito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bairon Dabrowsky to maneuver through the defense. When Martino Ureta came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the MERIDA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martino Ureta couldn't finish the play. After 30 minutes, Elías Barasarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chilecito AFC and the MERIDA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Elías Barasarte kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Metin Başeski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martino Ureta went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Arnau Faure scored 1-4 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Metin Başeski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Metin Başeski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliazar Guajardo went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Martino Ureta scored 1-6 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Metin Başeski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half MERIDA FC were leading 1-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Arnau Faure fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MERIDA FC's protests and gave Arnau Faure a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Chilecito AFC booed when MERIDA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnau Faure didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute Martino Ureta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Metin Başeski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Chilecito AFC defense, Eliazar Guajardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Metin Başeski. The Chilecito AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Metin Başeski should have stopped the shot. Metin Başeski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martino Ureta in the 69th minute. Chilecito AFC's Metin Başeski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnau Faure in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, MERIDA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Garzón to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Cresenciano Panatt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marino Somoza. MERIDA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cresenciano Panatt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-7. Juan Alberto Ahrens hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliazar Guajardo in the 89th minute of play forced Chilecito AFC's goalkeeper Metin Başeski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the match, MERIDA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cresenciano Panatt came free, but Marino Somoza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chilecito AFC's Metin Başeski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Chilecito AFC from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched MERIDA FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
