Nauzet Goycolea kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Jose Ramon Ferraris notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of MERIDA FC's Marino Somoza. Marino Somoza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jose Ramon Ferraris in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marino Somoza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marino Somoza was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Jose Ramon Ferraris capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jose Ramon Ferraris really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Christian Arteche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliazar Guajardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, EL TRINAL FC.'s Jose Ramon Ferraris sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marino Somoza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Prudentio Eguiguren hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 30 minutes of play, MERIDA FC's Martino Ureta made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Arteche was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nestor Garzón hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Christian Arteche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliazar Guajardo in the 34th minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Martino Ureta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MERIDA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martino Ureta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Gerardo Mellado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Héctor Eastman hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46th match minute, MERIDA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Garzón to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eliazar Guajardo to make the kick off. Christian Arteche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliazar Guajardo in the 52nd minute of play. Alarico Gajardo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The supporters of EL TRINAL FC. booed when MERIDA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliazar Guajardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in EL TRINAL FC.'s zone, Martino Ureta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Arteche came out of the goal and Martino Ureta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marino Somoza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Ramon Ferraris in the 72nd minute of play. Podador Bardesi shot from long distance after 74 played minutes, a shot that Marino Somoza with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, MERIDA FC's Arnau Faure got a free kick in the 75th minute. Nauzet Goycolea hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Martino Ureta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to MERIDA FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Siluna Agacio hit a great ball. EL TRINAL FC.'s Podador Bardesi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 88th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for MERIDA FC. After having played for 92 minutes, Martino Ureta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MERIDA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martino Ureta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Jose Ramon Ferraris sped through MERIDA FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marino Somoza.
