Benicio Bruggink's late challenge caught a EL CHIVO F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benicio Bruggink helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th match minute, EL CHIVO F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edilberto Dabrowsky to maneuver through the defense. Carlo Enríquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruesga Reinoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laureano Tinoco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomasino Briones read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to EL CHIVO F.C. getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Amancio Noriega hit a great ball. EL CHIVO F.C.'s Carlo Enríquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benicio Bruggink in the 19th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Héctor David Chirinos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tomasino Briones, passed just outside the right post. Benicio Bruggink kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Barni Raineri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edilberto Dabrowsky made in the 38th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Román Huaquil however managed to control. In the 42nd minute Laureano Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomasino Briones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, José Alberto Brieba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Macaquiño fc booed when EL CHIVO F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Alberto Brieba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remigio Balart, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Barni Raineri made a kick off. Tomasino Briones stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barni Raineri's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. A collision led to Macaquiño fc getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Vicente Zavaleta hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Barni Raineri managed to get in a good position for a shot. EL CHIVO F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Barni Raineri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomasino Briones breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of EL CHIVO F.C. booed when Macaquiño fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Angel Tiñoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laureano Tinoco scored 2-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomasino Briones, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th minute Ruesga Reinoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Enríquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Gerbella hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Amancio Noriega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomasino Briones showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barni Raineri, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 96th minute Laureano Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomasino Briones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. EL CHIVO F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Macaquiño fc for a fine match.
